Het stond al weken groot aangegeven als we door Fèrrieres sur Sichon reden..... Brocante 28 juillet! Nou, daar wilde ik natuurlijk naar toe. Een brocante lekker dicht bij huis... 

Het was vanochtend nogal mistig, maar ach, we weten het al: als de zon er eenmaal door komt.... We waren erg benieuwd naar de brocante... Frank zei al... als het een paar kraampjes zijn kunnen we daarna nog even doorrijden naar Le Mayet de Montagne, naar de marché aux puces...... Je weet het maar nooit... ik herinner me nog de plantenmarkt in Lachaux... uiteindelijk stond daar 1 tafeltje met een paar plantjes...... Nou is Lachaux natuurlijk klein vergeleken bij Fèrrieres, maar toch..... Wie schetst onze verbazing toen we nog voor Fèrrieres de eerste tafeltjes met spulletjes al zagen staan..... en dat ging nog wel even door.... stapvoets werden we door Fèrrieres geleid en echt overal stonden tafeltjes met allerlei waar, er waren Buvettes met wijn, standjes met worstjes, kaasjes..... Het zag er allemaal super gezellig uit. We vonden gelukkig nog een plekje voor de auto voor een tuinhek. We hadden oogcontact met de mevrouw die blijkbaar achter het hek woonde en die knikte zo van: ja, zet maar neer. Mooi dus. Tsja... en toen werd het struinen... en ik had een doel: ik wilde nog wat dingen voor de gasten-badkamer zien te vinden. Nou, er waren spullen te over.... ik vond drie erg leuke aardewerken bekers op  voetjes met rode kersen erop; die zouden geweldig zijn op de wastafel in de badkamer. Voor € 1,50 kreeg ik ze alle drie! Ik vond een zelfde bordeaux rode Laguiole bestek die ik ook al bij Mayet had gekocht. Deze was zelfs nog goedkoper dus nu heb ik voor 8 personen dat mooie rode bestek; mooi bij mijn borden en schalen met de bekende rode roos. Er stonden best wel veel van de lampet-sets. We hadden er laatst al eentje gekocht maar die was net toch wat te groot om in de gasten-badkamer te zetten. En toen zag ik een veel kleinere set... die zou perfect op die zuil in de badkamer passen. Even vragen wat ie moest kosten...... € 3,00! Nou, die ging natuurlijk ook mee! Verder was ik nog op zoek naar een hanglampje voor in de badkamer. Die vonden we ook, dat wil zeggen, een leuk oud lampje, maar waarschijnlijk niet helemaal geschikt voor de badkamer... maar ach... in onze slaapkamer zou ie ook leuk staan. En dat weer voor € 3,00. De mensen achter de tafel helemaal enthousiast. Ze hadden wat verkocht! Bepakt en bezakt, sjouwend met tassen, slenterden we door de straatjes van Ferrières. Wat een leuk plaatsje was het eigenlijk. Leuke straatjes die omhoog (of omlaag, het is maar hoe je het bekijkt) liepen, leuke huizen; een paar pleintjes en heel veel kraampjes. De plaatselijke muziekband speelde en we maakten een praatje met Nederlanders die daar een huis hebben; als we door Ferrières rijden zien we daar altijd een Nederlandse auto staan. Toen we zo ongeveer alle straatjes gehad hadden kwamen we weer uit bij de auto. Snel naar huis want het liep al weer tegen midi. Thuisgekomen eerst wat drinken en toen de spulletjes afwassen en kijken hoe het in de gasten-badkamer zou staan......

Who can describe our surprise when we saw the first tables with things in front of Fèrrieres.... . and that went on for a while... we were led through Fèrrieres at walking pace and there were tables everywhere with all kinds of goods, there were Buvettes with wine, stands with sausages, cheeses... It all looked super nice. . Luckily we found a spot for the car in front of a garden gate.
