Na twee dagen hard werken is de badkamer dan zo ver dat 'ie op de foto mag. Er moet nog veel gebeuren: verlichting (nu doen we alles nog met een schemerlampje ), er moet nog een plafond in, het handdoekenrek moet nog worden opgehangen......maar toch.... je kunt heel goed zien hoe het is geworden.... en ik ben er zoooo trots op.... ik vind het zooooo mooi!. In je gedachten bedenk je dan hoe het er uit zou moeten zien maar het is zelfs beter geworden dan dat. De afgelopen dagen dus het randje langs de kant gesjabloneerd. Ik had wel eens van die houten vloeren gezien in oude boerderijen waar dan ook op geschilderd was en zoiets wilde ik dus ook. Een tijd terug al de sjablonen gekocht bij Temu. Bij het hoeksjabloon wat figuurtjes weggelaten zodat ie mooi kon overlopen in het randsjabloon. Ben er zo blij mee! Het was me het werkje wel, vooral bij de toiletpot en bij de buizen......Maar het is gelukt! En toen de vloer twee keer met bootlak gelakt. Ik ben zo blij met het resultaat! En veel dingen uit de kringloop of marktplaats: het kastje, de spiegel, het handdoekenrek. Nu moeten we nog afwerken; de stenen muur gaan we ietsje meer voegen zodat er wat minder diepe gaten in zitten (is nl erg stoffig), plintjes overal.... Maar het grote geheel is er.......Ik ben zo'n blij ei........

After two days of hard work, the bathroom is ready for a photo. There is still a lot to be done: lighting (now we still do everything with a table lamp 🙂 ), a ceiling still needs to be installed, the towel rack still needs to be hung......but still... you can clearly see how it will become.... and I am soooo proud of it... I think it is so beautiful!. In your mind you imagine what it should look like, but it turned out even better than that. So the last few days I stenciled the edge along the side. I had seen those wooden floors in old farmhouses that had been painted on and so I wanted something like that too. I bought the templates from Temu a while ago. I left out some figures on the corner template so that it could flow nicely into the edge template. I'm so happy with it! It was quite a job, especially with the toilet bowl and the pipes... But we did it! And then the floor was varnished twice with boat lacquer. I am so happy with the result! And many things from the thrift store or marketplace: the cupboard, the mirror, the towel rack. Now we still have to finish; We are going to add a little more to the stone wall so that there are fewer deep holes in it (it is very dusty), skirting boards everywhere.... But the big picture is there.......I am such a happy egg. ....... The photos show "the making of..."
