Ik kan het niet laten om toch nog één keer een stukje over mijn mooie kast te schrijven..... de kast die ik bij Emmaus zag staan en waarvan ik dacht: die MOET ik gewoon hebben... die kan daar niet blijven staan... die kast heeft iemand nodig die hem leuk vindt en van hem houdt.....ik dus.........😀

Hij staat dus nu in het keuken-gedeelte in de Grange. Van de week heb ik hem ingericht met al het servies dat ik er in had bedacht. Mijn wild-servies, gekocht op de Vide Maison, het blauwe serviesgoed, mijn oude Franse servies, ooit gekocht in Montlucon in de TROC.....Boven in de kast zitten glazen ruitjes met een ge-etst motiefje. Het zijn twee schuifdeurtjes en aan de zijkanten zit een strook gebold glas. Dat heeft zelfs de tocht van de Emmaus naar ons huisje overleefd...(de heren hadden de kast zo in de bus van Patrice gelegd, geen bescherming over de glazen😫). De achterkant van het stukje met de glazenruitjes is bekleed met een soort van gladde stof. Eigenlijk zoo kitscherig, maar daardoor zo leuk...... achter de ruitjes staat nu een deel van mijn "eenden" , patépotjes e.d.: een onbedoelde verzameling is dat aan het worden.....

Het leuke aan de kast zijn vooral alle rondingen, die ronde deurtjes.. . en dan natuurlijk: HET GEHEIM....er zit vooraan een sierplint op de kast en die kun je uittrekken! Dan heb je een extra afzet stukje...... hoe leuk is dat? En dan is er nog een vak met vier glazen kleine laadjes, voor kruiden e.d. Bij mij gaan de theezakjes er in en zo.....

Ik vind de kast helemaal geweldig en hij ziet er nog heel goed uit. Zelfs de sleutels zijn aanwezig ( plus nog eentje extra, geen idee waarvoor die is, want hij past niet op de andere sloten).

Nogmaals... ik ben er helemaal weg van, van die kast.........

I just can't resist writing a little something about my beautiful cabinet one last time..... the cabinet I saw at Emmaus and thought: I simply MUST have that... it can't stay there... that cabinet needs someone who likes it..... so that's me.........😀 So now it stands in the kitchen area of ​​the Grange. This week I arranged it with all the tableware I had planned to put in it. My game dinnerware, bought at the Vide Maison, the blue dinnerware, my old French dinnerware, bought years ago in Montlucon at the TROC..... At the top of the cabinet are glass panes with an etched motif. They consist of two sliding doors with a strip of curved glass on the sides. That even survived the journey from Emmaus to our little house...(the men had just put the cabinet straight into Patrice's van, no protection over the glass😫). The back of the section with the glass panes is covered with a kind of smooth fabric. Actually so kitschy, but that’s what makes it so nice...... behind the glass panes now stands part of my "ducks", pâté jars etc.: it is becoming an unintentional collection..... The nice thing about the cabinet is mainly all the curves, those round doors... and then of course: THE SECRET.... there is a decorative plinth on the front of the cabinet and you can pull it out! Then you have an extra shelf...... how nice is that? And then there is another compartment with four small glass drawers, for herbs etc. Mine go with tea bags and such..... I think the cabinet is absolutely amazing and it still looks very good. Even the keys are there (plus one extra, no idea what it is for, because it doesn't fit the other locks). Once again... I am completely in love with that cabinet.........
